After boarding the ship, we enjoy our first meal onboard the Carnival Liberty.

Time for Sail Away!

On Deck 10, the location of our stateroom.

Here is one happy cruiser!

Here are two more happy cruisers, my mom and dad!

The tugboat that assists with maneuvering ships in the harbor.

Carnival Liberty Life Preserver

And here are two more happy cruisers, my cousins Joan and Lowell.

We have started to move away from the dock!

A Beautiful Sunset

New York Strip Steak

One of the many delicious chocolate desserts found onboard.

Joan and Lowell at our first dinner in the dining room.

My mom and dad.

Satay of Chicken Tenderloin, one of our favorite appetizers.

One of the many great shows they have each evening. This particular one was a tribute to Frank Sinatra and Sammy Davis, Jr.

The Atrium Elevators

One of our towel animals, the elephant.

As we sailed through Belizean waters, I enjoyed eating their national dish of beans and rice, coleslaw, and chicken.

The first outdoor television screen on a Carnival ship.

Ahhhh.....swimming in water while sailing in water.

Farfalle with Smoked Turkey, one of my favorites!

Greek Farmer's Salad, the best salad I have ever had on a ship.

Beef Wellington, another one of my favorites!

One of my many Shirley Temples. In the dining room, they became fancier and fancier each night.

My parents and I sitting in the reserved section for Talent Show Participants, as I sang in the main show with my dad accompanying me on the keyboard.

I had the opportunity to sing an original song, "He Will Stand By You," and witness to thousands. I thank God for this amazing experience.

Shirley, a fellow Christian cruiser who I met after the talent show.

Heading to the Pineapple Plantation

Some of the lush countryside

A Banana Plantation

The bananas are grown in bags.

A Roadside Produce Stand.

We have arrived at our final destination: the Pineapple Plantation!

Everything was so nice and clean, and "Mr. and Mrs. Pineapple" even directed people to the proper facilities.

Each stage of pineapple growth was marked with placards.

From the tiniest little pineapples...

...to the medium-sized...

...to the almost ready-to-eat kinds.

And finally, to the ones that could be cut open and devoured.

Looking across one of the fields towards the packing plant.

A Colorful Mural

Sitting area for eating pineapple.

A beautiful table setting to showcase the unlimited amount of pineapple we were given the opportunity to enjoy.

A fancy display for mouth-watering, sweet-as-candy pineapple slices. Mmmmm....

Some of the workers passing us on a tractor.

The Observation Point

The vegetation in Costa Rica was absolutely amazing.

We saw so many beautiful tropical flowers, too.

Now that's a lot of pineapples.

Touring the Packing Plant

The workers moved so fast, it was unbelievable.

They are paid according to how many boxes they pack per day, and they did not waste any time.

Looking down into one of the boxes ready for shipping.

When we returned home, we saw boxes like these in the grocery store from Costa Rica.

The bus that we rode in for our excursion to the plantation.

Now, we are in the drying plant.

Once again, we were offered all of the pineapple we could possibly eat.

One of the locomotives they used for the Panama Canal years and years ago.

Our only look at the Panama Canal, since our ferry tour through the entire canal was cancelled due to a ship power failuure.

My dad, with the Gatun Locks in the background.

Two huge ships pass through the locks.

There they go...

Looking toward the Atlantic Ocean side of the Canal.

One of the buses we rode in during our Panama City Tour excursion. The ride in Costa Rica was actually a little more pleasant.
